With the recent arrival of artisans creating musical instruments of a type common in Mexico before the Conquest, Pozos is rediscovering it's Prehispanic roots. And without ignoring more modern Mexican culture, each year the competition of the Festival of Mariachis happens. Don't miss it!

The Toltequidad Festival happens in mid-July. This annual celebration and exploration of indigenous culture is another worthwhile event in Mineral de Pozos that makes it unique in Mexico. Recently the festival, In Mixcoacalli, has been organized to keep that very ancient culture alive.
