GALERIA LA FAMA
Dan Rueffert is a well know artist in San Miguel
de Allende, Guanajuato. He was born in Nebraska, USA and grew up
in South D
akota. He first came to Mexico in the Sixties and has
been living here for thirty years.
Dan works in oils and pastels and occasionally sculpts. His work tries to capture and preserve the flavor of old rural Mexico as he first saw it those many years ago in a world that is rapidly changing and an old Mexico that is rapidly disappearing.
He studied at a number of different schools including the Dever Art Institute, and The Instituto Allende where he taught for many years after completion of his studies. His work is shown at his gallery - Galeria La Fama, in San Miguel de Allende, and in Puerta Vallarta, Jalisco.
