IN AND AROUND TOWN

La Delagación
At one time this building was the Presidencia of the Municipality of Cuidad Profirio Diaz. When Pozos was reduced to a pueblo after the Cristeros War, San Luis de la Paz was elevated to Municipality and the building now houses the representative or Delegado of the local govenment of San Luis. Today it houses the museo, the Library and is used for weddings and other social events.

Templo del Nuestro Señor de los Trabajos
This church appears to be a ruin but in reality it is simply unfinished. It was begun during Pozos' Heyday and when the town fell on hard times, so did this congregation. They were able to finish the chapel, however, and it is still in use today. Perhaps if Pozos' fortunes improve one day, the church will be completed.

Iglesia San Pedro
The main church in the center of town. It is the religious center of Pozos and is named for the Patron Saint of Pozos.

The Former Bullring
This structure is in the process of being restored currrently. It in its restored form it wil host cultural events like concerts but not bull fights.

The Former Train Stations
During its heyday, Pozos had a rail line that connected to the main north-south line. Estación Malladito, an interesting ruin, can be found on the south end of town on Calle La Via, itself the former railroad right of way. There is another former train station (Estación Nacional) at the north end of town on the road to San Luis de la Paz. It is across the road from the rancho "La Estacion" .

El Panteon
The local cemetary located at the southern entrance to town on the main road south. Although walled in, interesting tombs and musoleums refllecting the former opulence of Pozos of a bygone era.
