CAMINO DE PIEDRA

Ohtetl, Camino de Piedra, is a shop dedicated to the fabrication of musical instruments of prehispanic origin and to reincorporating them into contemporary musical life.

To this end, the workshop has recreated the principal instruments of the indigenous groups of Mexico before the arrival of the Spaniards such as wooden drums (teponaztles), drums of skins (huehuetls), flutes, whistles and others. Some of the design are copies of the originals, while others are our own creations based on the actual symbols of ancient Mexico. The aim of Camino de Piedra is the maximum acoustic and artistic quality of each idividual instrument -- to acquire an instrument from Camino de Piedra is a guarantee of quality and beauty.
